- Build consistent, scalable, and secure infrastructure as code, across multiple AWS accounts, allowing a small team to provision new and replace legacy infrastructure safely and quickly.
- Most time is spent committing to Git and executing code reviews vs provisioning via the AWS console.
- Influence and drive infrastructure as code architecture and provisioning options/recommendations.
- Influence engineers to improve the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure ecosystem.
- Collaborate to write code, mentor one another, and develop creative and consistent and scalable approaches to replace legacy hand-built infrastructure
- Rapidly absorb new cloud native technologies and show the desire to continuously improve and innovate.
- Write stories and manage work in Jira using Agile methodologies.
- Extensive experience in building and deploying scalable infrastructure in Kubernetes ecosystems using Terraform and other cloud native approaches.
- Good understanding of AWS cloud networking and security with hands-on experience remediating infrastructure vulnerabilities at scale
- Experience in designing, analyzing, and solving problems for large-scale distributed systems.
- Comfortable balancing multiple strategic and tactical efforts at once.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with ability to collaborate and grow with multiple teams to achieve goals.
- Self-starter with ability to work without extensive supervision.
- Experience in managing infrastructure config at scale using multiple approaches and/or tools such as GitOps, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Comfortable with Linux system administration, with the ability to program/script using Python, Go, Java, shell, or equivalent.
- Experience designing and implementing infrastructure observability between AWS and Data Dog.
- Proficiency with SQL, database administration, data pipelines, performance tuning, and schema design.
- Familiarity with open-source distributed data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, AWS RedShift, etc
